Temporary Closure at Peckham Community Sauna - Glengall Wharf Garden

We have some bittersweet news to share.

Our Peckham Sauna at Glengall Wharf Garden will be temporarily closing, as of 14 July. The great news is that we’ve recently received planning permission - a huge milestone that lays the foundation for a permanent and thriving sauna presence at the site. That said, the sauna requires essential work to remain operational. As many of you know, this started as a pop-up site, beautiful and full of charm, but now needs investment and upgrades to keep it functional and viable for the years to come. Work needs to be undertaken on:

  •  Electrics

  •  Drainage and toilets

  •  Infrastructure to improve longevity

Given the cost involved in completing the works, we are working with the Garden to map out what the future of the site could look like.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be working with Glengall Wharf Garden, our team, and you - our customers - to shape a long-term vision and a new, sustainable way of operating. Temporarily closing is not a decision we’ve taken lightly, but we know that starting these discussions now means we can reopen sooner, stronger, and better equipped for the future.
